SRI LANKA – Adopted in 1978, Sri Lanka’s flag is one of the more unusual. A yellow/orange base serves as the background for two separate symbols. At the left are two equally sized vertical stripes – green and orange – floating within the base. To the right, and at twice the width of the vertical stripes – also floating on the yellow/orange background – is a crimson rectangle charged with a golden, sword wielding, left facing lion at the center. Each inner corner of the rectangle is charged with a similarly colored pipul leaf. All Annin Flagmakers flags are sewn in either South Boston, VA or Coshocton, OH.
