CROATIA – Red, white and blue, colors taken from the Croatian coat of arms, make up the three equally sized horizontal bars that comprise the nation’s flag – red at the top, white in the middle, and blue at the bottom. Floating center on the flag is the coat of arms, which is dominated by a red and white checker board pattern – topped by five crowning coats which represent the historical regions from which Croatia originated.
